An All-Volunteer-Run, Non-Profit Organization that raises their own funds to provide programs and services to children and Massachusetts families residing in Attleboro, North Attleboro, Mansfield, Norton, Rehoboth, Seekonk, and Plainville.

The Council for Children serves as advocate for children; where there is a need for service we attempt to find one. Volunteers are always needed to make the work lighter. Sometimes, community members come to the Council because they have discovered that there is a serious gap in a service for children and families. The Council also helps other concerned groups find a way to make a difference in children’s live.

The Front Porch Project

You may have seen The Front Steps Project on Facebook, where a local photographer takes pictures of families sitting on their front steps, a respectful 6’ feet or more away. The pictures are a great way to bring everyone in your house outside for a few minutes and SMILE! The photographer does not ask for a sitting fee, the “cost” is a donation to a local non-profit.

The Greater Attleboro Area Council for Children is very excited to partner with local photographer Ruben Jacob, and Sheryle DeGirolamo of Kensington Real Estate to bring this project to the Council for Children’s supporters.
